ECU D16Y8
Hey I'm thinking about doing an OBDII to OBDI conversion or whatever. Boomslang Fab has the price on the wiring harness for $75. I have a '97 sol si(d16y8). Manual tranny also if it matters.
Which OBDI ECU should I use?
Planning on staying NA, my mods are in my sig. I don't plan on doing anything crazy with this motor. Is doing this even worth it? I've heard you might as well just flush your $$ down the toilet than spend it on modding an OBDII car...

Following up, I notice that the Hondata site lists the p28 ecu for a civic, 97-01 prelude, etc. Whats the difference? How do I know I'm getting the right one?

The only difference in the P28 is it's either auto or manual. It comes out of the 92-95 Civic EX, Hondata lists them for all those other cars because it CAN be used in them.

Nothing. The P28 only came in 92-95 Civic EX's and Si's. Hondata lists the P28 for virtually every motor because it is the ECU of choice for chipping. You can get an OBD-I conversion harness and run a chipped P28 on virtually any VTEC honda motor.
