ECU Confirmation: auto - manual help.
hey guys. ok i have a 96 accord and a 96 h22 in it. so you wonder why this guy in our room lol .. this is the reason
there were only a small amount of 96 auto h22's made. well ive looked for seven months and ten days . never to see an 1996 auto h22 ecu for sale. only at honda and its 850 dollars.
my options are this:
i cant go and use a 97+ prelude ecu cause they have a stupid sport shifter and ecu has an immobilezer in it
i cant use a 92-95 h22 ecu cause its obd1. In the prelude and the accords, they have a seperate transmissoin control unit *TCU* that runs the tranny in obd1. Then the ECU controls the car to say.
i cant get a conversion harness, cause of the tranny having to have its own speical wiring that no one will touch.
I heard that the obd 1 auto civics and integras, dont use two control units? I was told that only the accord and prelude have a seperate control unit. Can anyone confirm this? Like in the obd1 accords, we have a ecu under the passenger glove box,and the TCU under the seat area. Does anyone know if the obd1 civic or integra's only use ONE ecu for auto's?
i need something DOHC to run my h22 better
thanks a million times

Dont know if this helps, but try this site http://www.car-part.com/ they seem to have a decent database with regards to parts.
