ecu codes and i searched
i want to find out what ecu's go to which cars and someone told me about obd2a and obd2b and i am confused
will a p72 work in my car 00 si
and what is a p2e
is there anyway i can get a list of what ecu's are compatible with my car
i know it sounds dumb but i am confused please help

thanks for the help but how do i know what year p72 i have i tried useing a obd2 to a obd1 jumper and a obd1 chipped ecu from my friends car but none of the pins lined up i guess that his car is obd2a and i havent tried installing the p72 yet i will try tommarow

A P72 ECU will run a B16A2 like ****.
The VTEC point is too low, and it will bog like a bitch in the midrange because of this.

If you use that p72 on your si vtec will not even engage. The reason being is because you have a obd2 wiring harness thats not set up for your ecu. So....find a pin out of the p72 and you can rewire it...other wise you will need a obd1 adapter. Good luck buddy. I too had your same troubles of finding and ecu list. oh and one more thing.....you can buy those ctr headlights on ebay and i have a greddy 18g used for 7k miles, type 24 intercooler(huge), ssq bov.....everything for $2500. The kit msrp is $3200 and thats without the $800 intercooler. If your interested hit me up.

i understand toms point on why it would run like **** but isn't it obd2 and i am going to be turboed in about one month and i want to know what is going to be the best ecu to run and how much is a p72 worth

every ecu i have seen has a stamped date on the side like in library books and such
