ECU Chipping, done right.
I'm fixing one of my buddies ECU's that he tried chipping himself today and what an idiot. People, if you dont know what your doing, get it done by someone that does know what their doing.
His car been running really lean, burning gas like a bitch, and puffs black smock every so often, but only in vtec. He bought one of those eBay chip kits that you see for $20. Not a bad chipset for $20 I guess. Well I open the ECU and look to find that he put the chip in backwards, stacked 2 sockets on top of each other, and didnt clean the board after soldering, what an ***!
At least he did the jumpers right.
