Default ECU and auto- manuel swap

Hey everybody. Now that I am boosted, I know my tranny isn't going to hold up long. As soon as it goes, I will be swaping to manuel. I am picking up a tranny, shifter and pedal assmbly for like $130. just need slave cylinder and linkage. My question is will I need a new ecu, or can I just unplug the 4th harness to the ecu? thanks.
