You can but itll run kinda sluggish. Youll also throw a code 70 I believe for something like automatic lock-out. If you just need to get a car running for a while then yes it is a possibility, just dont expect to be all fast and furious....

yeah it is for a friends mini me swap. and also can i use the auto harness to wire his car up? and what if he chips the ecu would that help him to not throw a code?

on the 5spd use of auto ecu will just cause a cell and possibly lower rev limit (but no ill effects)
on the auto , running 5spd = pita. it will simply be stuck in gear as the solenoids need to be activated in order to shift gears
