Default ECU

ok so i have bought this use 94 civic coupe and it was auto before but the guy i bought it from do a 5spd swap and now thair is some things wrong wit the car,

1: CEL is always on

2: my reverse lights dont come on when i am in reverse

3: my gauge cluster is ment for an auto and i know this cuz when i am in gear the gauge cluster says i am in park

4: and was wondering is my ECu mounted in correct?

you prolly still have an automatic ecu instead of a manual one

Depends for what motor it's for.

If you don't know what motor you have look on your block - to the left of the exhaust manifold (header) and down a bit, you'll see a stamp with something like D16Y8 or B18C5 or something of the sort.

its a d16z6 if im correct, will a ecu from from a d16y8 work for me?

no a y8 is an obd2a(96-98) vehicle and your motor is obd1 (92-95)
