Default Which ECM P08 or P28?

Well here goes, been awhile since I have done anything to a Honda. I have searched everywhere, but nothing to confirm my question. I am putting a JDM D15B Vtec into my 93 EG 4DR, just need a replacement to get me on the road until I decide on definate plans for car. My question is I have read that it would be better to run the P08 with this engine vs the P28, is this correct? I have both the P08 and P28, but want to use the correct ECM for this engine. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks guys and I am sure that this is going to be one of many questions I am going to have as I relearn information about EG's forgottten over the last 10 yrs.
Tim

ECM-Electronic Control Module, ECU-Electronic Control Unit, PCM-Powertrain Control Module....Everyone uses different terms, ECM and ECU are referred to as same thing, I guess ECM is the old term, PCM is usually ECM/ECU and TCU/TCM combined from what I have read in the past. Sorry for the confusion, I am getting older everyday...lol

The P08 is the correct ECU for the JDM D15B VTEC. The P28 is for the USDM D16Z6.

You could socket the P28 and get a D15B VTEC Basemap burned for you. Run that chip in the P28 and sell the P08. Then later if you do another swap you can still use the P28 to tune with, etc.

Correct Theres really not much difference between them. the biggest being marginally different fuel and timing maps and the P08 uses a single wire unheated oxygen sensor while the P28 uses a 4 wire heated sensor.

Thanks for helping clear that up guys, so that being said, how hard is it to change to the single wire oxygen sensor? Is it plug and play or does it need repinning, etc? Thanks again

The easiest thing to do is get a single wire CX O2 sensor and depin the plug from the end, then pin that single wire into the O2 signal wire pin of a 4 wire sensor (O2 sensor signal wire in the engine harness is white)
