Default ebay special?

i was looking on ebay for superchargers and i found this "electric supercharger" that goes between the intake and filter. it says 2psi boost using a line off of the battery. i figure this is a scam but im curious if it would work or if anyone has tried it?

More air = more oxygen = more power. I think it's recommended that you only use it for 30 minute intervals. Overall, I think of it as a bolt-on disgrace.

Compare the CFM that the fan pushes (and reduce it by at least 50% because it will be pulling the air throuth a filter and trying to pressurize it, both functions the fan was not designed for) to the CFM that your motor pushes at peak RPM (hint, the ebay blowers won't even move as much air as a B18 moves N/A).

The exception, of course, is the torocharger, which absolutely gauranteed works like a ************:

If you get the Torocharger, then YOU WILL BE FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can make your own 'electric supercharger' out of computer fans. it will work a LITTLE bit. just because its pushing more air in. hope those peices of the fan dont break off and get sucked into your motor though...

I had the exact same leaf blower and was going to try that out, the only thing is when you got to shift you still have massive amounts of air coming in? wouldnt you need to temporarly turn it off between shifts? or some sort of button, i might try this out lol

No, it can't even push out 2psi, expletive it, it's worthless. It won't spin fast enough, anything above 20mph it'll simply create interferance and lower your HP...

But you'll be able to rev faster at idle with it, and that's all that matters :-P

Seriously, big waste of money, same as the turbonator (www.turbonator.com).

'Tis why god invented the blow off valve, my friend.

Not only does it sound cool but its primary purpose is to releave pressure in the charge pipe going towards the butterfly and keep it from shuttering (which is exactly what you're talking about).

You show me how to hook a blow off valve up to a fukin leaf blower, i know what a blow off valve is wise guy, im going to rig up a big horn like switch to the floorboard under the gas pedal so that the blower only cuts on at full throttle, and turns off between shifts...
