Ebay Lower Control Arms..

Ebay Lower Control Arms..
Just curious if there is any downside to putting ebay lca's on my 2000 civic. My car is not lowered, and does not have any suspension mods. My bushings are bad on my current lca's and I realized that buying a set for $100 on ebay will be cheaper, and easier, than replacing the current bushings.

Well would a downside be that they are crap, and what makes you think that the bushings on yours are bad? Either just buy new OEM ones, buy energy suspension bushings and press them in, or go for an aftermarket like blox (cheapest), skunk2, or function7 (higher quality).

Cheap LCAs have cheap/crappo bushings in them. Trust me even some of the "name brand" ones have bushings that start coming apart within a year's time of daily driving *cough*Blox*cough*
I'd buy OEM replacement arms from Majestic Honda for $63.00/side <--clickable link takes you directly to 2000 Civic rear suspension page with part numbers and pricing.
#4 in the picture, and again is sold for $63.10 per side. IMO you can't beat that, and the install is super easy. You know the bushings will last at least 10 years.

I'm going to second that suggestion. I drive a '94 Sedan, I replaced nearly all the bushings with OEM honda a few years back and it tightened it up a lot, they're holding up very well. Blox LCAs are notorious for bad bushings, besides that aftermarket LCAs are going to cost more and not last as long, but they have that extra bling for when people are crawling under your car looking at the underside.

Just order energy suspension bushings and replace your current lcas bushings.
Have a shop replace the bushings, might be cheaper. Or like above, just buy new oem replacements.

Well the ones that went bad were the omni-powers that I put on about 4 years ago when my car was still slammed. Then I put back on stock suspension and left the omni-powers on. As far as I am concerned, omni-power is on the low end of lca's and they still lasted 4 years (2.5 of which the car was slammed).
I know the bushings are bad because I was told at inspection they were on their way out; that was about 4 months ago. Since then I have confirmed by visually inspecting them, and also hearing the squeaking noises coming from them.
I wish I would have saw the link to the oem ones for $63 a piece before I ordered Blox for $105 off ebay. If they last me another 4 years like my omni-powers, I will not complain. If they only last 1-2 years, I will just order the oem ones now that I have the link.

No offense intended, but why did you ask the question and not check back until today? I posted the pic/link 55 minutes after you created the topic.
