Ebay Headers
Well, Im getting a swap at the end of the summer for my 97 Dx hatch... the thing is, the cat on my stock motor kinda crapped out on me and its now making my car sound like a lawnmower hahha. Question is... imma buy sum cheap 50dollar headers off ebay to use b4 my swap... will it bolt right on and replace the header-cat combo that comes stock on the d16y7? or will i have to do sum fabrication? thanks... and nope, its ok if i dont have a cat (unless a hiflow cat will also bolt right on), i basically jus want my stock header-cat out. Thanks in advance.

Re: Ebay Headers (Ha7chB4cK)
Dude I actually got a set powdercoated headers off ebay(50 bucks) and they're workin' out decent, since I took my stock manifold off that had the cat on it, the exhaust has been making a "crackling" sound, I'm guessing due to the lack of that cat. I got a 96 Civic Hatchback and it bolted right on the motor, the downpipe needed to be taken to a muffler shop and have the front of the back pipe fitted with a different flange, and had to splice some of my 02 sensor wires to make it to the sensors. Was all in fun though, you think the crackling sound at higher RPMs is because of the loss of the manifold cat?

Oh realli?! Thas good... yea the crackling sound is because you have no cat. NEways, so u did have to go to a muffler shop and have it modified? How much did it cost, cause I realli dont want to spend so much on something thatll be temporary lol
