ebay header on an ek hatch.
Well i have a 97 ek hatch and i need to get this thing inspected and im looking for the cheapest alternative right now. Ive seen some ebay headers for a d series go off pretty cheap. On the 97 ek hatch the header and the cat seem to be one whole unit. Now when i buy this ebay header will it set my cel light on? Has anyone tried this?

with no cat you're going to get a CEL. You'll also fail your sniffer test obviously.
Get a separate O2 sensor and cat and have the cat welded in.
Not exactly cheap anymore.
I'd say scrounge the junkyards.
