OK, I am on a very tight budget. Ijust need an exhaust system for my 98 civic. I found a few exhaust for under $300. I just need better airflow for my car. I will no race or go to the track. Is there really any difference between these exhaust and the brand names one? I just need Better airflow.

From the way you phrased it you make it sound like you engine is producing so much airflow that the exhaust piping is really heavily restricting it. If thats the case and even on a tight budget you MUST have an exhaust system than I would do this. Find the cheapest best flowing muffler, and no it doesn't have to be huge a shinny any will do and go to a good muffle shop. have them run some 3" piping all the way back. Try and haggle on the price tool, they can work with you on it. They will also most likely carry the muffler you need. That should be sufficient enough for what you need.

Dude 3" piping is way too big unles he is running a turbo. You will lose a lot of low end torque with that big of piping. I would go with 2.25 or the biggest 2.5 .

That would by my suggestion, 2.25-2.5 in will work, just go to a shop that does custom piping, you'll get it done for around $200. Haha, who was that guy on H-T who had all this sh*t done to his car, he was waiting for payday to get a new cat back exhaust, well he was driving and the piping blew up under his car.
