Ebay D-Series Header - Question about O2 Sensor Location

Ebay D-Series Header - Question about O2 Sensor Location
I've just recently purchased and received a 4-2-1 Stainless Steel header from a seller on ebay, surewinproducts - <FONT SIZE="1">he is having an awesome sale on things, this header cost me 49.95 shipped =D</FONT>
Thing is the new header's O2 Sensor Location is only on one pipe, while the stock picks up all 4 cylinders... is this going to affect the engine?
Would the engine run richer/leaner in the other 3 cylinders because the sensor only picks up the 1st/4th cylinder?
There is another pickup location, closer to the cat, but it would mean i need to extend the O2 sensor wires...however if i need to extend the wires, they have to be shielded, and I only have unshielded 14ga...
If i wrap the extended wires in aluminum foil and slit-loom, would that be sufficient shielding for the O2 wires?

I don't really care much about the hp gains that it would give me on a D15B7 that only has an ebay short ram...
What i got it for was to increase the flow... better flow, more efficient, less gas use.. or that is the theory.
The short ram helps with fuel efficiency...Normally a drive from Nassau County, NY to Vestal, NY leaves me with about 1/4 of a tank when i get to Vestal, with just the short ram, i had about 3/8 of a tank left when i reached vestal.
The stock D16Z3 header is also a 4-2-1 header, but the O2 picks up 2 cylinders...</FONT>

IMO as long as your engine is in overall good condition, there shouldn't be too much of a difference between the o2 reading from one cylinder or all four. But you can order one of these extensions from Casper's Electronics. I've used one in the past with good results.

The engine is in good condition... its a 95, and only reached 87k =D
So i guess it should be fine...
but If i do decide to splice, and extend the O2 sensor wires... how badly could i screw up the readings?
I know it works on resistance... sorta... so if i do it badly, i would increase the resistance...
thing is, once you add length to a wire, you increase the resistance.... but if the joints are poor, the resistance is even higher..
i guess if i solder it right, then insulate it all.. it should be fine...
i have to do everything today.... no other time for an install..
all i have is some tools and a can of pb blaster, no anti-seize or new self-locking nuts...
So i guess it should be fine...
