Default Ebay catback exhaust?

I was thinking about going bigger on my piping. Preferably 3 inches. I currently run a 2.5" custom made crush bent piping. As you should know, a big motor like a h22, k20/k24, or modified B series should be running at least 3 inches with no restrictions. I was thinking of buying the Ebay catback for around $120 and cutting off the exhaust and replacing it with my own. Therefore I have a 3" mandrel bent not crush bent piping for cheap. Sounds like a good idea? let me know what you think..

2.5 should run u just fine. unless ur running some kind of turbo set-up or something. as for the ebay stuff their piping looks pretty legit but those coke can mufflers that come with them suck. at least from my experience.

a 3" exhaust is overkill on any honda thats not built. built meaning turbo'd making 300+whp, or n/a making 250+whp.

I second this, especially on a NA motor. Back pressure is a key element in a NA motor. Unles you are running redline RPM all the time, it would be counter productive on a DD to run 3".

There's no such thing as "back pressure" its all in "velocity". Read up on this that's why I posted it up

Yeah I talked to the shop who did my custom piping however, when I went to Do-it-dyno and talked to Bubba about my piping, he told me to get better mandrel bent piping and not crush bent piping before I get a tune. The thing about crush bent piping is that it restricts flow. You have a piping thats 2.5" but when its crush bent on the parts that bend, it becomes less than 2.5". That's why a mandrel bent is best because its consistent throughout the bends.

Yeah I was thinking about having a shop cut off the exhaust and weld my exhaust on there instead. I just want the piping because of the mandrel bends and size. I think it will last but just wanted to know what you guys think.
