Easy way to tell if wired for vtec?
I bought a 93 Del Sol Si that someone had swapped a d15b7 into. I'm not sure if they used a d15 harness or just left the Si harness in the car. Is there an easy way to tell if the car still has the Si for vtec?
Also, I noticed that the car has the MAP sensor spliced into the harness. My other car with a d15b7 didn't have one like this so I'm not sure whats going on there.
There is also a plug that isn't hooked up to anything over by where the stock air filter box would be. Do you have any clue what that might be? I'll try and get some pics if my cell will take decent ones.

no matter what engine is in there there will always be a wire from the ecu to engine bay for vtec. it's just a matter of what engine harness is there...look for a dangling green 2 wire plug and a dangling 1 wire gray plug around the distributor area...those are the plugs for the pressure switch and solenoid
a d15b7 doesnt have a solenoid
a d15b7 doesnt have a solenoid

On the engine harness there should be a green plug for the vtec pressure switch and a grey plug for vtec solenoid, if they aren't there, it is really simple to wire it in yourself, if you need a picture showing how let me know.
