Heres what i did:
1 Get some wheel chucks for the front tires . their either gonna have to saw them off and thats gonna take some time or if their actually that stupid and try to steal the car with them on if gonna be real loud.
2 . Get the lo jack from honda with early warning protection. It costs 600 If someone steals your car without the keys keeps honda calling your cell phone and other contacts that are on the list until someone picks up.
3 Pick up a regular alarm system and have it installed so when the theift gets in your car he will think he disabled the alarm little does he know you also have low jack installed he wont be looking for it.
4 Put it different kill switchs
5 nrg 180 steering wheel column it will adjust up into your actual cluster and wont be able to turn I also pull out my ecu.
This is the system I use on my car is it bullet proof I havent had any attempts on my car but I hope with the amount of my i have put into it it would work.

maybe you could just find a sticker that says you have an alarm and buy a little blue LED to flash. you can have the LED connected to a couple of small batteries and only turn it on when you get out of the car. if they try again after this then you can get something more expensive later. but if they don't, then you would have only spent a few bucks.

Alarms are a good idea but not thief proof. If they know anything about alarms they can get in your car and have your siren wire cut in a matter of seconds "silent alarm? no good" then its a matter of reconnecting your starter wire and off they go. I have an alarm for the convienence of it, i.e remote start and keyless entry. I do the same thing as FROST and pull my ecu at night.

Well, if you want to just have a flashing LED, look up circuits using 555 timers. You can use them for much better things than this, but if a couple bucks is all you can afford right now, it's something.

An alarm whether it be expensive or cheap is only as good as the install. You can buy an expensive alarm and have the idiots at best buy install it and its IMO a waste of money.

my friend asked me how long i can get to his car and start it.
now i have NEVER in my life stolen a car. and i never will.
but it took me 23 seconds to open his garage, unlock his door
and start his car. all this was done with MY OEM civic key.
so yes. it is rather easy

its so easy to steal a civic its like taking candy from a baby
me and my buddies did an experiment. We took another honda key from a 92-95 civic and stuck it into a 96-00 civic hx. He wiggled the key for a while in the door lock and voila! he was able to turn the key and unlock it.. scary isnt it?
