How much does a stroker kit cost? I know you can get B18 blocks dirt cheap, that might be cheaper. Then you can just swap heads.

Re: Eagle stroker kit for your b16 (R you serious)
Why is it when a person asks a question it never gets answered? You guys always have to throw in opinions. I have my reasons for wanting to stick with a B16 ok.

b16's are great motors i just dont see the point in stroking one to 1.8 when for all the money you spent on everything could by a b18c or maybe even a b18c5
i say buy a b16 for the 1.6 and buy a b18 for the 1.8 and if you have the money to stroke somthing just stroke up the b18 or pay a hooker to stroke me that would be great because then id be stroked to 2.2 inches

Re: Eagle stroker kit for your b16 (one-syk)
Fine, I want a stroker kit because it is balanced and I can it for around the same price I can get rods/pistons/rings and a crank for.

Okay and that's after extensive mods and a whole lot of money. Don't flame on someone because of their opinion. It's not like your opinion is better or worse than his.

Re: Eagle stroker kit for your b16 (Happyman)
hey did you say the b16 sucks? you have a b16?, sounds like the opionin of someone who dosnt know what they are talking about, these are awesome motors that can rev up to 9000 rpm and make some great power, which the 1.8 stroker you can still rev up that high and make some good power, but with the 1.8 you can get the torque. so i got this to say to you...stick a **** in it

Re: Eagle stroker kit for your b16 (hybridnorth)
And at the end of the day it's still a b16 with a little more torque and 160 hp. Just save the extra 1000 and get a GS-R or stop arguing. You don't need to prove anything to anyone. You want to stroke your b16 .2? Then do it.

Re: Eagle stroker kit for your b16 (Happyman)
A b16 stroked with a B17 crank & rods and sleeved to 85-86mm is an extremely sexy motor. GSR like power w/ a r/s ratio of 1.68. B16s do not suck, but the stock crank is rather conservative. If they all came with a B17(81.4mm) crank, or this crank was more widely available the B16 would be a much more highly sought after engine.

Re: Eagle stroker kit for your b16 (Jay-C)
I just picked up a B16 stroker kit for $182. That's the B17 crank & rods. It doesn't have to be expensive if you're patient.
