I noticed recently when im accelerating between 2000-3000 rpm my e-brake light comes on. it seems to go off after 3000 rpm or ill shift all the way to 5th gear n cruise. I have never seen this happen in any other honda ive owned nor have i ever heard this light come on for anyone else. does anyone know what this means? is my brake fluid low? i something wrong with my engine? is the cable for the e-brake damaged? thanks in advance.

Car info: 1997 Civic EX Coupe, 97 B18C5 engine swap, lowered on skunk2 coilovers.

Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. It's likely low. If so, check whether your brake pads need replacing.

Brake pads get thin, caliper pistons move out, fluid level drops, "brake" light comes on.

Fluid level is low or the float in the reservoir is stuck at the bottom somehow.

Hopefully you don't have a leaking line.

well the level wasnt low..but i put alil in. since u mentioned it, i didnt see the floater in there. how bad is that?

time for new pads huh? it would be a good idea to do this. i got drill n slotted rotors, so the pads probably dont last long.
