Dynoed my weak sauce ITR again.... 14whp increase!
Thats right, here is a picture of the dyno sheet, one showing the previous one, and then yesterdays run.
ok ok so i cheated a little, my mods for the run:
stock 96spec itr
(rice) Ractive short ram
OPEN HEADER from shitty stock 4-2-1 exhaust manifold
this to show how much the WS was robbing me in the performance catagory.
I mean.... 14 freaking wheel horsepower.. thats a lot, and just imagine, i dynoed it through a shitty header!... imagine jdm 4-1 yummmm.
my previous run was run through a
catalytic converter and apexi worldsport.

Awesome
Did you do any sort of tune up at all?
Get a 2.5" header and exhaust and run again. I wanna see what you get

No tune up at all, and im still running crap spark plugs, #7s instead of #6s
My collector on my exhaust manifold is already 2.5inch. jdm y0

Re: (kwik2nec)
im not sure, any suggestions?
should i get a headertech or get a dc jdm 4-1.
are the gains on the headertech justify spending that much because thats where a lot of the power gains comes from

I had no idea the JDM 4-2-1 was 2.5". Learn something new every day
You really can't beat the JDM DC for the price. I mean, $280 is pretty cheap. Any other 2.5" 4-1 is going to be at least $100 more.
Exhausts really depend on what you want.

are you sure you can blame all the power loss the the world sport, of is it possible the cat had somethign to do with it, before you blame it all on the w/s id get a different cat and see how much you gain compared to the cat you have now
granted the ws isnt the best flowing, but it makes up for it with daily driveability w/o having to worry about the popo

i agree with coptzer, on my H22 accord, and on my LS integra there was a huge difference from when i gutted the cat on the cars, and i had stock exhaust on the accord along with stock manifold ran a 15.6@89 before gutting it, 15.3@94 after, integra had rs-r catback but felt big difference with the cat gutted went from 15.5@87 to 15.3@91 those were the only mod differences from the times i went to the track

of course your down a lot of power, YOU DON'T HAVE AN EXHUAST installed for the run. Unless you plan on running around town with open header your going to lose horsepower with an exhaust and cat. you might lose 14 with a world sport and stock cat compared to 8 with test pipe and RS*R GTII but the WS would be bareable to ride in.

get the JG header with a 2.5" collector...will make more power than JDM 4-1 header or JDM ITR header...sweet numbers still

Haha, everyone thinks they have a better idea than the next. Everyone's like "Get this, get that"
Research. I won't say good numbers though, because those aren't really good numbers. Good sheet though, informative.

a gain of 14whp on open header is kind of ridiculous. Why? because the cat i have bolted on IS a carsound cat... 2.5 inch to be exact.... so even with my high flow cat, and exhaust, it shouldnt have been that much of a decrease. Did i mention my torque was a lot higher, up 6wtq

wow, are you sure its the exhaust, you should run with the cat but no exhaust, that seems fishy that a 60 mm exhaust is gonna lose 14 horse and 6 pounds on a na car? who knows though, atleast you can drive around town in quietness

Well Im glad for you...the first dyno kinda wigged you out
Keep with the updates its pretty interesting...and maybe get all your ducks in a row before hitting the dyno again.
