Dyno'd my car today..........Little Disappointed.
95 CX hatchback, 2000 GSR swap, Intake, Exhaust only. Gutted catalytic converter, and a P72 ECU.
148.1 WHP
114 TQ
Hp curve looks real choppy tuner said he thinks my CX fuel pump is trying to go out on me. Car is starting to bog on the highway also. I am getting a Wahlboro (SP???) fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator and he said it should be able to bump it up to 165 with a bit of tuning. I also have some Skunk2 cam gears laying around and a VAFC in which I am gonna get put on to see if maybe I can reach a little higher numbers.

do as you said and dyno again.
I wouldn't bother with other mods until your engine is up to par
you do a compression check?

those numbers seem really low for a GSR.. i would get rid of the gutted cat and get a straight pipe, your doing the same to the environment with a gutted cat, get a fuel pump and also make sure that your secondary butterflies are working correctly.. do they work as you know of? ive seen dynos where they lost 10-15 HP cause they were not working properly..

make sure you get a fuel pump from a vtec car any b16/gsr/itr pump is fine and drops right in... plus cheap used.
dyno tuning is the key

I would put a DOHC fuel pump (or your walbro) in and see if that helps. It should help a lot up top. How high were you taking the car? Wideband o2?

also, is your timing properly set? Advance it a little and you might see a 2-4 hp gain and better mid range.

Re: (NEcivic)
Ok just to let you know. We had it on the dyno and tuned it a little that day. And still the best we could get was 148.1 that was with 4 runs and no wideband as far as I know. The reason I had him do the dyno run was a drivability problem. Car was starting to bog when I got ready to give it gas after normal driving. Say I wanted to pass someone at around 70mph whn I would step on the gas it would bog and on one occasion it even back fired. Friends tell me it has black smoke when i get on it real hard. I went to get a test pipe made from a friend of mine and while I was waiting for him to make one we took the old cat off and discovered it was already gutted. I was thinking it was the catalytic converter going bad. But nope. Anyway the dyno graph on my car was very choppy. He showed me several other dyno graphs and almost all of them were smooth. So we are gonna try Fuel Pump and fuel pressure regulator first and then go from there. And yes the secondary butterflies are working properly. Thanks for the help guys and keep the responses coming.
