Default Dyno for stock engine.

I'm a big fan of dyno's. I think it's the only way to tell if performance parts work. I have seen many dyno's on h-t but I was wondering if people had tested all the stock d-series motors. I'm wondering about the vx cx especially, just because I have no idea. If I had to guess I would go with 55 for the cx. Any numbers or graphs will work. I know the cx sucks, but I'm sure someone tested it.

55 is a good guess. the cx only has 70 hp. 80whp would be a better guess for the vx

Dyno time is pretty expensive. I dont think youre going to find anyone who's waste their money and time to dyno a stock cx.

I understand not wanting to dyno a cx. yes I have an eg cx but if you take 10-15% drivetrain loss thats would be 59 to 63!!!! Anyway the thing that gets me is cars that rate high and then produce low dyno numbers. For example my last car a 95 eclipse gs-t bone stock dynoed at 165 wheel but it was rated at 210 while my friends gti 1.8t put 142 down from an engine rated at 150. I'm glad scc put claimed power and dyno power in their articles.

it's more like ~106whp for a D16Z6.

I was just curious to see what it would be. The lowest dyno I ever saw was 38hp on an old beetle on the dynojet. I guess nobody ever dynoed it before.
