Under the rear seats, on the backs of the rear seats (under the fabric cover), bottom of the trunk lid, and on the sides and floor of the trunk.

spray as much of that rubber sound absorbing spray under the car as possible, get some sound deading foam, and fill that everywhere including inside the door panels and carpet (thin sheets)

and i dont think it absorbs sound like hes asking, you want some sound absorbing **** like the stuff they use in studios.

you can tell if it absorbs sound if you put it about 2-3" away from your ear, and you cant hear anything on that ear.

My ex-hooker had a winter hat that serisouly would absorb like 99% of the sound, never understood how it could do that.

I think dynomat just stops panels and shoot from raddling, which can easily be fixed wtih spray foam or other stuff. Plus their method is just adding dead weight to the car, its not efficient at all. Id rather put fiberglass insulation inside my doorpanels since thats what mufflers use to dampen teh sound, aswell as most modern housing

Ive been told use Dynatmat and also heard its expensive but the problem is that its so loud inside the car from th exhaust & the K&N CAI.. sounds great outside... I just want something that may reduce the sound inside the car especially since i like pushing the needle from time to time.. hehehe.. so trying to see if anyone has any good idea's to reduce the noise..

3 dB is double the acoustical power. 10 dB is double the output.

At any rate, to the OP. Look into B-Quiet on Ebay. It is one dollar a foot and is exactly the same as Dynamat Extreme.

B-Quiet would certainly help with your problem.

I have a hatch that I just installed dynamat in EVERYWHERE. It does help, but I would only do it if you have the hookup at Best Buy like me, I paid like $150 to do everything. Normally it would have cost me close to $600. I think $150 was worth it, $600? no way.

But to awnser your question it does help, but you need to do it everywhere for it to make a difference.

A twin loop exhaust may help too.

Its like that jetta commercial where the guy tells the girl to be quiet so he can hear the engine.

Can't you just geta silencer for your exhaust? I have one for my N1 and it makes it alot quieter. I don't use it though.

See i dont want to silence the muffler on the outside, i love the sound outside but inside when i first got it and went from stock to aftermarket it honestly killed my ears so i can understand how people feel getting in my car now..lol

TRUE!!!

DYNAMAT DOES NOT ABSORB SOUND! The purpose of Dynamat is to add mass to a panel...therefore making it harder for vibrations to rattle said panels. Dynamat also helps to lower the noise floor of your vehicle basically making it a more quiet car. When they advertise that it will double the output of your stereo...they are only partially correct. Technically it does not make your stereo any louder than it can already be! What it can do, however, is make your car that much quieter with nothing else on (no stereo on..engine idling...etc.). With this lower noise floor...instead of turning your radio to say...50 you only have to turn it to 40 to be louder than your exhaust so to speak.
It's easy walking up a set of stairs...right?...Try walking up the same set of stairs with a 100 pound backpack on!!! Kinda the same principle. It's the same panel...just with more meat on it.
I was building a stereo for this kid and he wanted it uber-loud. So I talked to him about using a Dynamat style material. I prolly added at least 100 pounds to the car between mat and spray...but the stereo was hella loud and the panels sounded solid. It's also not about how much you use but where you put it to be the most effective. I added mat to his thrunk flooring...spare tire well...double layers over the area where his coffee-can muffler was...inside of the rear quarter-panels...double-layer on the trunk-lid itself...the top and bottom of the rear deck...took off the door panels and the weather barrier and did there...also did double layers on the INSIDE of the outer door skin with sheets which was a serious pain....I did the kick panels...pulled the roofliner and did the roof... and the A-pillars!!! I might've done more but I don't remember right now. His "exhaust" if that's what you want to call it was horribly loud before hand...even at idle...and almost non-existant after the mat's application!!! The doors and trunk, when shut, sounded as solid as a brand new Benz's would! Of course I almost doubled the weight in the doors and trunk but for an old EG...rattling was but a dream...especially for the trunk-lid. I probably did get a little carried away with the matting but **** worked like a charm like it was designed to do.
