DX manual tranny vs EX manual tranny
hey guys
i am in the market to do a auto -> manual swap. however, the tranny im being offered is from a DX. i know the ratios on a 5 speed will be better than an auto no matter what, but i heard the DX gear ratios are diff from the EX manual tranny ratios.
will i notice a big diff? should i hold out till i can find an EX MT?
also, will i be throwing codes if i use a DX ECU?
thanks

Re: DX manual tranny vs EX manual tranny (ekcivic9)
if u plan on keeping the D motor, go with the EX tranny, way better to drive. i have one on my car right now (canadian Si = USDM EX) and i love it...i used to have a VX tranny, so immagine the diffrence, i now make power in 2nd, 3rd high rpm 4th and 5th instead of just 1st

ex is better than dx... if you still wanna go dx, i'll have one for sale in the near future since i'm swapping to an ex...and i suggest you do the same... better performance gear ratios

Re: (civic_driver)
the ex tranny is much better if you can find one get one.. i recently did a dx tranny to ex tranny swap on my cx hatch with a d16z6 and it pulls hard as hell now
