dx head to cx bottom end, intake
Would I need a dx intake manifold, and ecu to get full potential out of my head? I have a stock cx intake manifold and ecu right now. Would it be possible to put a vtec ecu and intake on my car?

dx and cx are both non-vtec heads and the dx and cx manifolds are both the same(top mount throttle body), therefore the intake systems are the same. The ex manifold/ head combo (vtec & the best flowing d-series manifold) would be a performance upgrade for your car, the only difference between the cx and dx are the trannies, they are both the same ecu. putting a vtec ecu on a non-vtec car is a no-no, cause the ecu will through a code for not having a vtec sensor, and the fuel maps are different for vtec cars also.

Re: (VTcivicHB)
The dx is a 16 valve, cx is and 8 valve, the dx has alot larger ports in the manifold than the cx, but I was wondering if I could switch to an vtec manifold, and ecu. The vtec ecu would it run with my car or woult it not function properly?
