you can get the intake cam or the exhaust cam. a CTR intake cam would be a nice addition for you along with dual valve springs all around....
the main question is what do YOU want out of YOUR motor....then your answer will lead you to the "All Motor" forum or the "Forced Induction" forum

what kinda gains do you hope for? is the main question. If you think 30 hp gains from cams... you think wrong. So tell us what you think a reasonable $$ amount is, and how much power you expect. Then we can lead you in the right direction.

I think something else that should be addressed immediately is the fact that you're probably going to need someone to install this stuff, or be willing to have your car down for a LONG time, because from the sounds of you (no offense) you aren't the most mechanically inclined, and cams aren't exactly the easiest thing in the world to install.

Re: (bbarbulo)
even if u get cams...u need to get them tuned. and from how ur talking...u dont really know much...so i have a feeling if u go to a shop...they're gonna rip u a new butt hole. u need to do alot more research before u take ur car to get MaD HOrsEpoWer YO! i would still stick to bolt ons if i were you. u can get a bigger intake manifold. either Type R or a skunk 2...either one would do. then get a TB that matches. i would wait on the bigger things...u need to do alot more reading. good luck.

If you go with cams the cheapest your gonna get the whole setup installed and tuned for is about 1500 give or take. You need to take into account the camshafts (FYI Intake cam and exhaust cam) then you'll need valvesprings and retainers in order to move you rev point up and maximize your cams potential. You will also need some type of engine managment and tuning. I have a set of Civic Type R cams valvesprings and retainers with a ECU for sale if your interested. But to do it right, your gonna end up spending about 1500 for the type r cam setup installed and tuned and prices go up from there. You'll probably only be getting about 10-15whp out of the type r cams with a good ecu and some dyno time.

IMO, the only real way to get quick horsepower out of a Honda is to go turbo. In the long run its cheaper than going all motor, but you need to learn a lot about your car. Start doing some homework before you spend any more money. Figure out what you would like to do, whether it be all motor, or FI.
