i have a friend that currently has a 99 si and one night we were driving around and decided to stop at wally world we were in the store for like 30 min max and when we came out the car would hardly start, and when it did he tried to rev it a little. The car would not rev above like 3k it sounded just like the rev limiter but at only 3k. Then i he turned the car off and when it started it was like it never happened... The same exact thing happened to a friend of mine that had a 01 R. Is this a common thing or has anyone else had this happen.

It sounds as if the car entered limp mode for some reason or another, were there ne problems with the car just before this?

no there you dont understand there is no longer anything AT ALL wrong with the car and it had absolutely no problems before it happened to a 99 si and a 01R is why i thought it may have been something somewhat common

anyway, I've had a TON of civics and this hasnt ever happend to me so I dont think its a common thing..Maybe just a coincidence... If it only did it the one time I wouldnt even worry about it

didnt mean to scare you. Just wanted to ask if anyone else had experienced this maybe im the reason

Could be a bad injector. Just a thought
