Default Dry Ice

I know I have seen write ups about using dry ice to take out the sound proof flooring under your carpet. The only problem is in NJ noooooo one knows where to get dry ice. Its impossible to find. Because its more of a deadly chemical. Anyone know where to get some or maybe you can buy from a website?

Or perhaps theres another way to take this flooring up?

we always find ours at the local icecream store where they make all there own icecream. Try the sience department at your local high school the teacher might be able to give you a place to find it

Not that cold over here specially during the summer, haha. But yeah, thanks for the idea about going to my old high school and asking them. I am real surprised that no one at the liquar stores know where to pick some up. What a hassel.

I prefer using Dry Ice over anything...everything breaks up in chunks.

Try googling "Dry Ice" then you area code.

I managed to find a warehouse that sold dry ice through Google.com

Did going through a warehouse cost you a lot of money? I was also thinking that they would have to sell a large amount rather than a little block.

Nope...unfortunately they were selling in cubes...but they charged $1 per pound.

I ended up buying 100 dollars worth of Dry Ice..I also had to remove DYNAMAT...and still have not completed...

Sounds like a long rough job with that heat gun. This is some thick stuff. Im assuming the side of your car will be a lot louder?

Yeah, a shitload, actually. It's noisy as hell.

Do you actually have plans for this car or are you just some ricer looking for weight reduction?

When you get it out, send it to me. I want to make my car QUIETER.
This will be my project when I get it tuned right. Yank everything out of the inside and ADD sound deadening material all over.
