Drum question
Yes, I'm an idiot. How do I open my freaking drums? I took the wheel off and I'm banging at it with a hammer in hopes that it will loosen, I'm prying at them with a screwdriver, everything. Now one is making a funky noise lol (prolly bent the drum). Is there a bolt I need to remove? Some secret Honda **** that I don't know about?

Re: Drum question (JMU1337)
there should be two screw looking things that you screw in. and that should pop them off. if not find a bolt that will fit in the two holes and just start twisting them on till the drums pop off.

yep, i am.
i saw the two screw hole thingies and assumed it had something to do with that but I don't have any bolts/screws that would fit in there.

try to find something that will work. And why are you doing your rear brakes? i heard that rear drums usually last the life of the car, unless you are real hard on them.

When I bought the car and got it inspected the mechanic showed me the shoes didn't have much meat left on them (170k miles). I have since driven several track weekends and autocrosses. They no longer keep the car in place with the e-brake pulled. I figure for $13 I might as well put in new shoes.
