Default Drop in MPG going from the dx tranny to the si tranny? also switching to a mini me head

Would i notice a difference in mpg if i switched from the dx to the si tranny? what about the mini me head?

Depends on the tune of the ECU, the way you drive, etc. On a full Z6 with a L3 Si transmission, running Crome, I managed to reach 38mpg going 80 coming back from NC.

if you leave it stock, you will because the increased RPM's.....it is a bit higher but 35 was reachable in my sol with the top off

But in general, you'll notice a drop, the harder you drive the bigger it will be. If you do it an suddenly drive rly easy though, you might go up,

A/C really sucks, a friend on my forum did a test with it at just cruising and it was like 60 mpg to 40 mpg when he turned the a/c on,

Dang, that's a pretty huge drop. I haven't tested my A/C's effect on MPG yet but my last car ('91 Buick Skylark piece of crap) only dropped 3MPG in city driving. For that little drop I'd gladly use the A/C because it's freaking hot down here.

changing my VX trans to SI didn't effect mpg much at all. I average 36-39 mpg now that it is summer and warm out. I drive not too easy but not too hard.

VX. stock. intake/exhaust. pretty peppy for what it is tho. i think it's worth it to swap trannys.
