driving with a misfire
New civic dx 1.5L owner,
Will driving with a misfire damage stuff? When I bought the car, It had what the previous owner thought was a frozen sparkplug. I do not know how long they drove it like that. ( Good for me, I got a 155K civic for $500). The plug wasn't frozen, so I replaced it. Now it still seems like it misfires a little at Idle. Off idle it runs a good as can be expected for a stock 1.5L auto. Could have running with the misfire damaged the cylinder walls (affecting compression)? Also my Idle is a little high I feel. I do not have a tach, just seems high. Any ideas?
thanks
