Default driving on the freeway pops out of 5 gear

when im driving on the freeway my 5 gear pops outi dont kno wuts the problem but i heard it could be my tranny or one of of my bolts are lose

probably tranny. Mine be4 would pop out but i did nothing to it and now its fine. its weird... check your tranny

Are your mounts good, if so was you rocking the motor hard enoughf to make it come out of gear?

Check your tranny fluid to see if its low. This happened to me once when I was coming back from the track. It had like 1/2 quart. Filled it back up (to 2.3qts) and shes good again

change your tranny fluid and see what happens...i bought a motor from hmotorsonline and forgot the change the tranny fluid b4 i dropped it in and it kept on poping out of 5th everytime...changed the tranny fluid and now everything is perferct

does it only happen on the freeway? my buddy has this happen to him and it was his 5th gear syncro but his did it all the time..

I had a similar problem but it was 3rd and 5th
I had to have the shifter assy replaced inside the tranny it was a 99 si trans

open the hood & look at tranny while having someone shift into 5th - i had a similar problem. I had a relocated a reservior & the tranny linkage was bumping into it not allowing it to go in gear. this was on a k-swap but could be similar

there are detent ***** that lock the shift forks into place AND there are metal rings around the synchro that lock the synchro sleeve into place. It could be either of these or anything else

there's also springs that hold the ***** up against the shift rods. You might want to undo the bolt that has the spring in there and try replacing it.

yeah mine used to do that too then I found out my clutch was jacked up... but that was a wierd circumstance,
