Default driver side window problems

Lately I have had to hold the window on track basically when i roll it up otherwise it will not stay on track. I took the door panel off and some of the bolt holes are stripped basically. Is there any way to fix this without getting a new door?

honda power windows suck like that, you will need to see if anything is bent, if not you will need a new window regulator. It is the part that scissors, bout 45 bucks at the dealer.

Well, if it's you know nothing is bent, then just buy new bolts. I had the same problem 3 months ago. The bolts became loose that hold the regulator to the door, and when I went to roll it up, it twisted and bent the left arm on the scissors. Had to buy the whole assembly, a whopping $30 from an auto recycler. I suspect this is what you will end up having to do. I have fixed or helped fix many Honda windows that came off track, and I find that buying the regulator is quick, cheap, and always works.

The bolts just barely tighten anymore. Its like there is nothing behind them to screw into cept for the door and the holes are semi stripped...is there anything i can do?

well after searching and reading up more on this it looks like im going to have to get a new regulator. Not because its bent, but because the holes are stripped in it so the bolts wont even tighten(i think)...ugh

back out to put my door panel back on
