Default driver side wheel bearing

Yeah i am replacing the driver side wheel hub/bearing combo. have any of you acomplished this yourself with a press?

if any body can point me in the right direction i would appreciate it greatly.

I dont want to have to take it to a shop, and have someone else charge me a ridiculous amount.

I know it is quite possible, seeing as a lot of my friends were in awe that i took it in to my buddies shop... but i did it because he was charging me half the price as everyone else. I do not know what everyone used, but three of them told me they have done it themselves multiple times. Did you try the search button? otherwise google it or wait for osmeone to answer it. either way, free bump for you!

yes it is easy to do. i've done quite a few myself. just make sure when you're pressing out the old hub and bearing that you press the hub out first, then the bearing. the first time i did it i tried doing the bearing and hub at the same time and didn't know there was a snap ring in there and screwed up my spindle and had to buy another one.

what i did was got a piece of steel pipe about 8 inches in diameter and placed the spindle with the hub centered over the middle of the pipe. then i just found a round piece of metal (a socket should work) that was the same size as the hub and pressed it out and then did the same for the bearing.

make sure you have a set of snap ring pliers cause you will need them. hope this helps.

if you want to save some loot, take the spindle off, take the whole spindle to a machine shop. they will usually do it for 30-50 bucks.

but it isnt that bad to do it yourself.
