Drive master cylinder brace on an EK ~~ pic ~~
Has anyone installed a Drive master cylinder brace on an EK yet? I heard that 1 hole must be drilled in order to install it onto a 96-00 Civic, is this true? Can anyone confirm this?
Post pics if you have one installed.

Even if one hole needs to be drilled, it still wouldn't be threaded to screw a bolt in.
A search yielded no info on an EK install, so evening bump!!

If i remmber correctly, the location where that hole that needs to be drilled should be enough thickness where you could tap it to proper thread ..

thats because you never had to press down on your brakes hard enough to need it.

there was some serious debate a while back on those.
The side that swayed me to stay away from them was that the brake pedal brace can/will actually change the suspension settings with it if you push really hard on the brake going into a corner.

Yes, that sure does sound like what a master cylinder brace might do.
But under intense braking/racing conditions the master cylinder moves around. If you know how to bleed your own brakes watch the MC next time someone is pumping the brake pedel. You'll understand then.

I used to have it, and yes, you do have to ( sold it for this reason) drill holes, the kit comes with two bolts and nuts so that you can mount it up
