Dried Up Piston Rings?
I have a motor that I picked up from my friend. He left the spark plug wires out of the motor and it sorta sat there for a while, so now the motor cranks but it won't turn over. Another friend told me that the piston rings might be dried up and dropping a couple drops of oil into it will fix that. Does that sound reasonable?

Put ATF in each piston and let it sit for a few hours then try in turn it with a socket on the pulley bolt. to turn the crank. Automatic Transmition Fluid If you didn't know.

Okay cool, I'll give that a try. How much would you recommend me putting into each piston? I don't want to put too much, or too little.
