The dreaded Engine question.
I'm gonna be swapping out my old B16A motor and dropping in something more powerful. I could only get my B16 to 204.3 HP when I tested it on the dyno yesterday. and I was thinking about taking off ALL of those upgrade parts, (hell of a lot) and thinking about putting it on an H22A since the H22A comes 200HP stock.
any objections, opinions etc. sorry about this usual kinda post. AND PLEASE, NO SEARCH, ALREADY TRIED.

I'm not against h22's at all. But I think it would be wiser to stick with the b series because if you swap all the aftermarket stuff from the B series to the H series, I don't think much stuff will fit.
Header wont fit, Cams won't fit, intakes won't fit, pistons won't fit. Infact, don't quote me because I have never worked on a H series motor, but I don't think any of the stuff will change over besides little stuff that will net very little difference.

you already have all the parts for a b16, including aftermarket ones, why not buy another b series motor ie b20, and build it with the parts you have since all b-series parts work with each other... if i was in your shoes that is without a doubt what i would do...

only 204hp on a b16?? I only wish I could get that much. Thats pretty damn good for a b16. If you want more power, throw a turbo on it and get 300whp easily.

only 204hp out off a turbo b16? that sux. You should be able to get much more out of it. Could be a whole bunch of reasons why its not making power...either bad tuning or bad engine. Have you checked the compression of the engine lately? What turbo is on it?
