you dont have to go as far as draining it. i replaced mine a while ago and i lost a little bit of tranny fluid when i pulled the passenger side out. just top it up and away you go. unless you need to change the tranny fluid anyways. thats my .02 anyways.

to the noobs who said yes...Your transmission fluid shouldnt be any higher than the axles.
If youre really worred about it, or know you overfilled your tranny, just raise one side of the car one notch higher on your jackstand than the other side, so it sits at an angle.

i will just drain it and add new stuff in, cause i don't know when the last time this car had a transmission oil change.
but yeah is it really that hard to fill from the hole where it was intended to be fill at?

Seriously, the only time i ever had it leak was when the owner over filled the trans before hand (over filled by like 3 qt). But no you dont need to drain it.
No its not hard to fill from the fill hole. Just get a "swivel" funnel.

are you kidding dont listen you need to drain the fluid it is much faster and easer then messing with jacking up and tilting the car all weird. get the honda advance tranny fliuid and replace fluid you have. you have one 10 mm bolt to take out on top of the tranny is youre speed sensor take it off and run a hose funnel to it that is the easy way to fill it up 2 ort all you need.

tilting a car on a jack isnt that hard. you make it sound like rocket science.
either way is a good route to go. but you dont need to drain the tranny to change an axle,as stated above.

only if your not careful with it...
if you seriously think you'll lose fluid...go look at where the actual fill plug is, in respect to the axle ports
