Re: double side tape for lip... (fifthgearonline!!!)
If it's wings west, it should have been attached tot he lip already. But you can find double sided tape at Home Depot or paint stores. Get 3M brand (get the white stuff, the gray is not as sticky), they make tape specifically for car moldings and bumper trim, it works really well, I've used it quite a few times, helping friends attach lips, sideskirts, etc, I usually clean the surface I'm going to stick it on w/rubbing alchohol, then stick it, and warm it up a little with a hairdryer, when it cools, it's on there for good.

Re: double side tape for lip... (chainsaw)
Teken once mentioned some aircraft grade double stick tape, I think it was blue in color. He said once it was in-place it would stay put. I think it was in a thread about re-sticking the rearview mirror in place....I would have linked it if I found it?

taken from http://www.industrialtechnology.co.uk/2001/apr/3m.html
"For instance, high strength double-sided foam pressure-sensitive bonding tapes typically provide about 1MPa in overlap shear at room temperature. Typical rigid, two-part epoxies provide 20 MPa in overlap shear at room temperature. Yet high-strength double-sided bonding tapes provide up to six times as much peel strength as rigid, two-part epoxies. Moreover, the viscoelastic properties of the lower shear-strength, double-sided foam tape provide greatly improved vibrational damping characteristics and often greater impact strength than most high-strength liquid epoxy adhesives. "
for those of us who can't read that much text at once:
a: double sided tape is hella good at holding stuff on, better than epoxy for non-shear apps (like holding a WW kit on)
b: it also dampens vibration, unlike bolts which actualy TRANSMIT vibration
c: it also has higher impact strength than epoxy (which is some HARD *****)
you can't fade the double sided tape. word.
