The arm rest on my door panel is cracked in one spot and I recently put some wait on it by mistake and it made an indentation on it, below the fabric. I have been looking to reupholster my insert and was trying to find out if you guys have done anything to to fix these once you take them apart or is it time to find a new arm rest if thats even possible before I reupholster?

Mine did the same thing. I just put epoxy in the cracks and put a backing brace underneath.

you got me with the backing brace, Im thinking you would have to put screws to hold it in but Im sure you didn't what did you do exactly?

Probably epoxied a shaped piece of metal/plastic end to end

That's what I'd do, if I didn't just get a replacement. I think mine has a small area that's began to crack as well.

Edit : it won't let the piece I "designed" stay in the shape, but that may work as well. The one I was thinking of looked more like a Z.
