door/ door handle problem?

door/ door handle problem?
okay, so this morning my door was opening completely properly. It seems that the metal rod inside the door panel has either broken or become disconnected, so the door will not open from the inside or out, so my question is, how do i go about fixing this, and if i take it to a body shop are they gonna have to break **** to fix it?
im tired of having stupid problems instead of real problems haha.

Did you take off the door panel? Also im not sure where it connects to never looked but if the rod is disconnected just look by the end of it and you should see something that it can hook to. And if its broken take out the rod and take it to like an advanced auto or something and try and find one. sorry if this doesnt help..

The panel does have some plastsic screws and clips, i dont know if you can get it off with it shut, but that would be the least damage and let you get straight to the rods in the door if you ripped it off.
