Do these things actually do somthing, or do they just trip up your friends getting in the back?

I guess it bolts in with sheet metal screws to the body. Don't think there is any frame around there.

I think it would do something, the original bar was made by cusco. the rest are bootleg copy's. I think cusco know what is up when it comes to chassie
stiffening. so I would say functional but gay.

they actually mount using the bolts for the front seat belts. i can't imagine them doing anything that spectacular that far away from the back wheels

when would tis come in handy? when does the middle of your car flex like that,so that it would need a brace?

I actually have the original do-luck floor brace, and it does help...I dont know about all the copies out there, but the do-luck floor brace made a difference in my car.
I know it may be hard for some to believe that it does anything, to be honest i was also skeptical, but after putting the brace in i noticed it within a couple of minutes of driving. it helped eliminate some chassis flex...hard to explain. my car (eg) doesnt "creak" over bumps anymore, and the car felt more stable when cornering hard.
people can talk negatively if they want, but in the end not many people have had personal experience.
before anyone gets confused i have the original DO-LUCK floor brace, i have no experience with these copies.

Actually, most civics already have a brace about 4" behind where that one mounts...

Re: (ScrapinSi)
driven a 93 integra that had one. actually felt a difference in handling. less body roll. overall though, i think it just makes it a hassle for passengers sitting in the back. but if you can get one really cheap, why not.
