Don't complain about being slow, Check these times!
Since my car is up on jackstands with a blown tranny I decided to take the wifes 2000 Civic EX auto to the track and get some new times. Previous best was a 12.1 at 60mph. The only mod I did this time was put the AEM CAI off my Civic on her car. This is sad but just for the hell of it..
60ft- 2.89
1/8th- 11.68
Mph- 63.46
Knocked half a second off the times with only the AEM intake. The 2.8 60ft was not from wheelspin, it was because the car boggs and doesn't go. The car can't spin the tires no matter what. Once it gets going it pulls decent but down low it's a dog. Who am I kidding, the car is a dog period...

The time isn't that great like you said, but it is impressive to see what just a cold air intake can do.

Yeah really, I didn't expect to get out of the 12's. The mid range and driving around town feels alot better than before. It had a intake before but it was a cheapo short ram. If I wasn't worried about her running through deep water I would get one for her car

Looks clean though Seems like a Level Ten torque converter is in order
Is that Chris' car? What kind of wheels is he on? Still those ALTs or whatever?

It needs a TQ converter bad. If it ever goes turbo I may do that but that's her money
Chris's CRX got the black Rota RNR copies. They look alot better than the heavy ALT's he had on it.

how did you launch the car?
my buddy always tries to show me to launch his automatic Z24 cavalier, where he puts one foot on the brake and one on the gas and gives it just enough to make the back "squat" down. then lets off the brake and punches the gas at the same time.
it seems like it works better than just sitting at idle and putting your foot into when the light turns green.

The EK autos don't have a "1" selection on the shifter so your at the mercy of the factory shift point till second gear. It shifts at about 800 rpm before fuel cut in 1st so it kills it there. 2nd I hold it in till the finish or it will shift 800rpm before fuel cut again before the finish.
