Done got that head!
Hey guys,
i just finished doing a head gasket on my B15D2 motor.. my buddy dave and i, hes the car guy, but i wanted to ask what you guys would know as far as we have like a ticking coming from what he thinks is a valve spring..
when we took the head off to do they head gasket some of these springs moved.the ticking is constant at idle and while driving it stays the same. car doesn't lose power, but we just aren't sure how to check the spacing of the valve springs for the intake or exhaust side, keep in mind the engine is bone stock and any info given would be greatly appreciated.
keep in mind the cams and lobs are spinning freely and there are no collisions when we did a manual hand crank before starting the engine..
thanks a bunch..

Re: Done got that head!
are you asking how to do a valve adjustment? if so then go to google, type in your car name followed by valve adjustment.
in the future most questions can be answered using this same method.
if you dont know what google is www.google.com

Valve adjustment is a very specific procedure. You should always do it after removing a timing belt, replacing a head, or rebuilding a head. Make sure the engine is cold before adjusting valves.

SlickDick, take it to a real auto shop if you don't feel comfortable doing to work yourself. It's a pain in the *** to do for your first time, so consider the pros.
