I think it doesn't bolt up. I'll let some one back me up/correct me.

It doesn't fit unless you hack up the housing. Even then, you can only use 2 bolts. All 92-00 d-series distributors will fit on a y8 head EXCEPT the z6, z1, and d15b ones.

is there any other way around the dizzy code on a p28...???

i guess 2 bolts would be ok...
maybe some cutting and welding...

Z6 dizzy will not work on a y8 head. Just use the y8 engine harness with a obd2-obd1 jumper.

two things i do not have...
and if that solves the dizzy code...then surely there is a much simpler wire jump i can make and stay obd1...
or use the b7/b8/y5/y7/y8 dizzy and do a simple wire jump to solve...
so....

thanx for all the contributions so far

I should have used "interchangeable" instead of "the same" - my bad

let me tell ya...
dont get old...
i solved this last year...but forgot i already have the solution under my hood...running...
converting a vtec obd2 dizzy is just rearranging the wires into the obd1 connectors...
thank you ... may i have another...

and if anyone needs a z6 dizzy...$45 shipped...
