Does the EK hatch have rear multilink?
So i bought a BMW 328is and it's TONS of fun but a maintenance nightmare and i'm getting sick of it..
Pining for a Honda again and looking at the EK Civic DX Hatchback.
Curious about three things:
1. Does it have the same multilink rear + front wishbone suspension that the coupe/sedan has?
2. Does it have a shorter wheelbase / better turning radius than the sedan/coupe?
3. Does it's low weight make the 1.6L motor a decent performer? I had a '99 EX coupe and it really lacked low end power which was annoying.. but it was also some 300lb heavier, with PS/AC/Etc..
Thank you..

Re: Does the EK hatch have rear multilink?
1 . independent rear suspension. double wishbone front
2. yes
3. not really. with some tires and suspension work it can be a great handling car, but it needs swap and/or boost to go fast.

1. Sweet. The other car i'm thinking about is the Del Sol. Do you know if it has rear multilink? ... and can you install swaybars on the EK hatch? ( i believe it doesn't have any )
2. Awesome.
3. Oy, i remember my '99 EX handling quite well, even with old shocks. Does the non-vtec offer enough power to take hills without issue?

2. to the guy above me.... quit tryin to thread scoop.... get your f*ckin posts up like the rest of the real members..... and you probably shouldn't have made your ID something you dont have.... that would be like if mine were AstonMartinV12Vanquish..... learn how to use the forum or GTFO. this man posted a thread to find out **** he needs to know not so you can jump in and steal his thread.....
to the man that posted the thread... I would def recommend getting an ek hatch... they are a great car and if you liked your coupe you will deff like a hatch. and no the d16y7 is not a sporty motor at all but it does the trick till you are ready to do a swap. mine has 218k on it and runs like a champ.
