Does a B16 have fuel injector insulators?
My 99 Si supposed to have fuel injector insulators?
The injectors were so grimy I took em to a shop and when I got em back they didnt have injector insulators.
I never realized them BEFORE I took em to the shop because they were so dirty. But now that they are clean Im just wondering.
Thanks.
EDIT* SIDE NOTE: I'm also replacing my gaskets that go on the manifold that snug the injectors in the intake manifold; those black O rings.
(I am NOT talking about the gaskets that go on the injectors)
Am I supposed to oil them up or use gasoline before I put them on or can I put them on dry?
Thanks.

More horsepower ehh?
Please elaborate on that conclusion.
And the intake manifold injector O-ring gaskets, do I prep them before I put them in such as with oil or gasoline? Or can I put them in dry? THanks!

Think that's the same reasoning as putting stickers on your car! Adds 5hp!
Fuel pressure keeps the fuel injectors in place anyways. I think those just help prevent dirty from getting around the o-ring seal.

yet its still slow!

Ouch
Thanks you both.
But once again; my buddie says not to prep the gaskets and to slide them in the injector than the injector into the manifold. So Im guessin I do not need to prep them?

Yes, put lubrication on the top o-ring of the injector before installation....unless you like a cut o-ring that will leak fuel. Its easier to install the injectors in the rail first and then install on the manifold.

Those donuts that go into the intake manifold, they don't need lube, just the top o-rings.
