Does anyone know where to buy this retainer clip?
I need to find the retainer clip for #38 so my door keeps opening from the outside. Does anyone know where I can get one? Other than the junkyard.

I don't know the part number for the retainer clip, I'm kinda assuming if I buy the joint that It would come with the clip but I don't wanna assume and be wrong.
I don't think I could get this from any auto parts store, unless it's a generic retainer clip. It just holds the joint into the door handle so the joint doesn't fall out.

Unless #17 which is called "BUSH, HANDLE JOINT (OUTER) " is the retainer clip for that... but I would think they would put the clip with the joint lol.

You might want to try and see if Auveco makes it. Fastenal sells Auveco along with many online sites.

#38 isn't a retainer or clip, it's a piece of steel that's threaded where the rod goes through, a retainer snaps onto the smaller end. Is #38 still the part you need? I'm thinking you more likely need #17.
