does anyone know the difference between......
the B16a2 and the CTR motor other than the pistons and cams? is the bore on the block the same? is the fuel system the same or does it have bigger injectors? also is the ECU more aggressive since it revs until 8200? thanks.

the b16b (ctr) shares it's block with b18c's. they are about 8mm taller than b16a blocks. b16b and b16a strokes are the same, but the b16b uses longer rods to accomodate.
jdm ecu's are always more aggressive because jdm engines run higher compression and have less emissions to worry about.

CTR pistons in a b16b are only 10.8:1 if memory serves. They are roughly a full point higher in a b16a block. Bore sizes are the same as well. The CTR head is also a PR3 head like the b16a uses but it's in the type R configuration which means it uses thinner intake valves (cut down above the valve head) to flow better and some slight port work from the factory. Fuel systems are the same as are injector sizes. The car revs a little higher because it uses slightly more agressive cams than the b16a does.
