does your a/c work, cus when the ac runs out of juice, it doesnt run, so that fan doesnt spin. Not saying you dont which fan it is, just lettingyou know.

It could be a bad thermo fan switch.. unplug it and jump it with a paper clip and see if the fan kicks in.. if it does then you have a bad thermo switch..

The problem may be that your thermostat has stopped working (usually why peoples fans stop comming on). Follow the hose from the bottom of your radiator when it meets your block this is where your thermostat is located. When it reaches a 180 degrees it opens up and allows coolant to flow through and your fans is supposed to come on if its working right. Check it out if you around 50-75k mi. This is just a suggestion though I could be something else.

Just one question...how does a thermostat opening tell an electrical fan to turn on...just curious because everytime I see this question on any board someone always says to check the thermostat...the thermostat operates off of a temperature sensative spring there is no sensor on it therefore it cannot send a signal to the fan to turn it on...what I think you are thinking of is the sensor just behind the thermostat on the thermostat housing called the ECT sensor...that is what operates the fan, when the coolant gets hot enough to pop the thermostat that sensor also tells the fan to kick on.
